Bigger And Smaller 1 - 99
You know that 25 is bigger than 9, number 24 is smaller than 45. The rules for comparing the numbers are as follows:
1. Every 2-digit number is bigger than every 1- digit number. So 25 is bigger than 9
2. If both the numbers are 2 - digit number, then we will compare the digits at tens place. The number with a bigger digit in the tens place is bigger. So 54 is bigger than 34. As the digit at tens place in 54 is 5 and in 34 is 3. Also 5 is bigger than 3 so 54 is bigger than 34.
3. If both the numbers are 2 - digit number,and have same digit at tens place, then we will compare the digits at ones place. The number with a bigger digit in the ones place is bigger. So 36 is bigger than 34. As the digit at ones place in 36 is 6 and in 34 is 4. Also 6 is bigger than 4 so 36 is bigger than 34.
